Action Jackson Opening (1st) Day Box Office Collections
Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha and Yami Gautam starrer Action Jackson hit the silver screen yesterday and it showed a good occupancy on day 1. Released in 3500 screens, the action drama received a good response in Northern India. Considering the fact that Prabhudeva never miss to entertain his audience, this time also it is hopeful that he will strike the right chord of the audience heart. As none of the film worked well in November, trade analysts are keeping their fingers crossed for good collection from ‘Acion Jackson’ in December. “Action Jackson looks good and the songs are also very catchy. Since nothing worked out in November, this film will definitely take a gigantic opening and will be followed by a bumper weekend. The film was expected to take a huge start. But film was poor in big cities Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune especially in multiplexes but film is doing better in single screens in Lucknow, Indore, Patna and Jaipur. Overall single screen occupancy was close to 50% but multiplex are struggling with 20%. Film was a wider release and that is why it was expected to get some kind of growth from evening onwards but bad reviews affected the film. After decent start in morning a territory like Rajasthan ended day with only 66 lacs nett and CI was close to 51 lacs nett. ‘Action Jackson’ earned around 13 Crores in the opening day. Trade analysts estimated a weekend collection of around 35 Crores and it all depends on the positive words of mouth from the audience as the film received an average remarks from the critics.
