Akshay Kumar’s The Shaukeens Songs Critics Review and Public Response

Critics Review and Public Response to ‘The Shaukeens’ Album:  A remake of Basu Chatterjee’s 1982 classic comedy film Shaukeen, The Shaukeens, directed by Abhishek Sharma is set to hit theaters on November 7th. The feel-good adventure film follows three middle-aged men played by Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra and Anupam Kher, who venture on a trip to Bangkok, where they meet the sizzling hot Lisa Haydon. The film also features Akshay Kumar in a special appearance. The Shaukeens album has been composed by various artists and is a mixed bag of hits and misses. With overall peppy tracks, the album is decently enjoyable.

Critics Music Review- Music Review (3/5)

The music has an eclectic mix of composers that includes Yo Yo Honey Singh, Hard Kaur, Arko and Vikram Nagi. The petite album of just six tracks is enjoyable with a couple of tracks hitting just the right notes. All the tracks in the film are good to listen.

Haan Main Alcoholic Hoon

Haan Main Alcoholic Hoon‘ is the Honey Singh number that is quite similar to his previous tracks such as ‘Sunny Sunny‘ or ‘Chaar Bottle Vodka’. The song is quite enjoyable.

Meharbaani

Meherbani composed by Arko begins with a lovely piano line that just made me smile. Jubin Nautiyal’s rough voice comes in and it gets even better. He sings with such emotion in every note and you really feel it which itself is enough to make you fall in love with.

Manali Trance

the song is completely successful in getting you into a trance sung by Neha Kakkar, the song is an amazing dope number. Neha Kakkar is great on the song While the song will remind you of Go Goa Gone‘s Slowly Slowly, this number takes the whole trance to another level.

Ishq Kutta Hai

This song completely proves that if Mika Singh is given just a bunch of words, he would make them also sound hit with his amazing powerful voice. This song is a high voltage number and composed by Vikram Nagi.

Aashiq Mizaaj

Composed by Hard Kaur had an overall wicked groove. It begins off very cool. Aman Trikha is great on the track and he adds a fabulous energy and snap. Aashiq Mizaaj‘ does not get you into the ‘Aashiq’ mode.

Lonely

Lonely composed by Vikram Nagi could have been so much more. In his typical style, Anu has crooned ‘Lonely. It has cartoony vocals which hardly appeal to the ears overall the song is quite thunda or below average.

Public Response (3.5/5)

Han Main Alcoholic Hoon and Manali Trance will gather lots of whistling, hooting and would be heard in full bass volume in cars with extra woofers. Yo Yo Honey Singh has become one of the most popular artists in the Bollywood industry that actors love to partner up with for song collaborations and audience also enjoy honey singh tracks. Han Main Alcoholic Hun, Which already has the audience dancing and we can see this hit being played at various parties. Manali Trance is the most blatant song rave party song so far.

Yo Yo Honey Singh proves yet again his impeccable talent in creating yet another chartbuster. Released on YouTube on October 1, 2014, by Zee Music Company, which has got more than million hits.
