Bang Bang Crossed 175.61 Crore at Box Office
Be it daredevil stunts or sizzling chemistry between Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif or Duggu’s MJ like dance moves, ‘Bang Bang’ has turned out to be a crowd puller inspite of its bad review. The film which released on a national holiday on October 2, has finally entered the Rs.100 Crores club in just 5 days, as per figures share by production house Fox Star Studios. In spite of clash with anticipated Shahid Kapoor’ Haider which too released on the same day, “Bang Bang” has very smoothly crossed Rs.175.61 crore mark worldwide and collected Rs.134.47 Crores at domestic market and Rs.41.15 Crores in the overseas territories. With these figures, the flick has become one of the top five openers of 2014. The film’s director, Siddharth Anand says, “I’m delighted. It’s a massive achievement for all of us. Its amazing that Bang Bang is being loved by people, especially the family audience. It is a complete masala movie and we made it with the intention to entertain everyone. I make movies for people to enjoy, to forget about the stress that is a part of the mundane lives we live. It is a full paisa vasool and the audience is loving it.”

It made Rs.175.61 crore gross worldwide in five days, thus, becoming the highest opener of 2014 in the overseas territory beating Sajid Nadiadwala’s Eid extravaganza Kick in Middle East, UK and USA by a huge margin. Bang Bang is made at a budget of Rs.140 crores and released in more than 4500 screens, thereby making it the widest release ever for a Bollywood film, as per reports. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the action thriller stars Danny Denzongpa, Jaaved Jaaferi, Deepti Naval, Kanwaljit Singh and Jimmy Sheirgill. Bang Bang is expected to do fair business in coming days and the audience reaction is very gratifying as the film is a repeat watch film and the action. The romance and scale of production is being hugely appreciated! Bang Bang is also in the top 5 opening movies in the history of Bollywood-a feat the film achieved in the first day of its release.
